What is Registered Physiotherapy?
Physical therapy (physiotherapy) is the practice of functional medicine which is primarily concerned with the remediation of motor impairments and disabilities. Using specialized protocols therapists improve mobility, functional ability, & quality of life. As first line healthcare professionals, there is no need a doctor’s referral. We assess and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions, illnesses, or injuries that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities as well as they would like in their daily lives. Our primary approach is manual modalities, utilizing electrical modalities only when required.
At H.O.W our physical therapist and physiotherapy assistant work to help

We also have special interest and training to treat pediatric patients with both
orthopedics and neurological conditions, such as:
Our Registered Physical Therapist is trained in Neurodevelopmental Technique (NDT) along with Cuevas MEDEK Exercises (CME).
NDT is a process which takes adult & pediatric patients through neural re-patterning using the normal developmental stages to create new neural connections.
CME serves to trigger postural reflexes in developing children to help them attain motor skills.
