Armed with a passion to bring this knowledge to her adult & pediatric patients, Sun joined the CAO. Her love of problem solving allowed Sun to gain recognition and awards for her case studies.
The process of training to be a classical manual osteopath has transformed Sun, both as a practitioner & an individual. It has imbedded in her, along with her husband & 2 children, the belief of life long learning, and commitment to osteopathic care & physical & emotional wellbeing.
Sandhya obtained her Master of Osteopathic Manipulative Science degree from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) in Hamilton (2012).
Prior to becoming an Osteopathic Manual Practioner she completed her Physical Therapy degree at the University of Toronto (2000) and worked in neurology & orthopaedics, with special expertise in pediatrics. Her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience, was a telling choice, displaying her interest in understanding how the body worked.
As a physiotherapist Sandhya (aka Sun) always strives to improve and expand her skills to treat patients better. She has specialized trainging in Neuro-Developmental Technique, Cuevas MEDEK Exercises, along with Cupping Therapy. Though loving her career as a Physical Therapist, Sandhya had a health crisis and only Classical Osteopathic process could correct the disease
